SwitchBot Curtain generally is controlled via our app and uses Bluetooth to connect, but it doesn’t have to be. When combined with SwitchBot Hub Mini, you can control it remotely, no matter where you are, all you need is an internet connection. What’s more, once you’re able to connect to the internet with your devices via Hub Mini… You guessed it, you can also connect to third-party smart assistant services, like, in my case, Alexa.

Just think, your old curtains… Now controllable, using just your voice, crazy right?

Imagine this, it’s a lazy Sunday afternoon, you’re on the couch, and you want to watch a movie in the living room…

  • “Hey Alexa, close my living room curtains.”

And you’re done. Or maybe you’ve come home from work, it’s been a 12hr shift (ouch), you’ve crashed out on your bed and you can feel yourself dozing off to sleep (still fully clothed, yeah, you’re that tired).

  • “Hey Alexa, close my bedroom curtains.”

It’s a game changer, and all it takes is one SwitchBot Hub Mini to help bridge that helps you connect between SwitchBot Curtain and voice assistants.

You see, SwitchBot Hub Mini is a gateway. On one side, it connects to SwitchBot Curtain via Bluetooth, and on the other side, it connects to the cloud through Wi-Fi, so even when you are away from home, you can still control SwitchBot Curtain via our app.

You can also link SwitchBot Curtain and other SwitchBot products with smart assistants so that you can control devices using voice, anywhere at home.

That’s not all. Hub Mini is also an infrared remote control. And with Smart Learning Mode you’re able to learn and mimic signals from your existing remote controls. This is great for when you want to consolidate a whole load of annoying remote controls and well, you know… get rid of all the others.
