At Ironmongery Experts, we offer a secure three-tiered user manageable key registration system which is designed to offer landlords complete control of the creation and assignment of keys to both tenants and letting agents. We have available three high security keys: EPS high security keys, DPS high security keys and GeGe high security keys.

All of these key systems are designed by EVVA, an Austrian safety technology manufacturer which is well-known for manufacturing reliable and high-quality mechanical and electronic locking systems and access control products. These key systems are perfect to protect residential properties plus industrial and commercial buildings.

To order high security keys, you will have to register a new account if you don’t have one with us already, otherwise simply login to your existing account. The following steps will help you understand our three-tiered system. The first tier of our system applies to the landlord, the second tier concerns the letting agents and the third and last tier applies to the tenant.

First tier: landlord or property owner

First and foremost, the landlord/property owner will have to create an account at Ironmongery Experts. Then, they will have to either purchase or register a high security key plus, upload proof of address and pay a small sum of £3 for a land registry lookup.

Upon approval of the land registry, ownership of the property within the system will also be approved. After this step, the landlord/property owner will be able to add users to the property, choose if they are a tenant or a letting agent and assign the necessary number of keys to each user. If required, the landlord/property owner will be able to revoke user access and change the allocation of keys.

Second tier: letting agents

After the landlord/property owner has followed the steps within the first tier, the letting agents will receive an email with the property details, allocation of keys and authentication code to order the keys.

Once the letting agents have signed up or logged in to their own account on the website, they will be able to see their assigned number of keys which will last for 365 days and then will have to be renewed by the landlord/property owner. The letting agents have the ability to add additional tenants and their allocation of keys.

Third tier: tenant

Tenants will receive an email after the landlord/property owner and the letting agents have completed the first tier and the second tier, respectively. Then, the tenants will be able to sign up or login to the website and see the property and the allocation of keys. The main difference of a tenant account is that this user is only able to order keys and is not able to manage users.
